I came across this herd of deer one cold and
snowy morning in Windsor Great Park this January.
I’d come to this spot every morning that week but no deer to be seen. On the 3rd morning I managed to get the photo I’d been waiting for. The next day the snow had started to thaw and I never got another chance. They were so busy digging through the snow for food that they didn’t notice me apart from one who looked up and seemed to give a warning call to the others.
