Whilst hiking with friends near Mont Blanc in the French

Alps, we stopped for a breather and map check on a small plateau surrounded by hills and with clouds both above and below us.
I took a few correctly exposed shots but they didn’t have any impact so I tried this silhouette. For me it works and really adds to the atmosphere created by the clouds, the graduated recession of the hills in the background and the sense of vastness of this awe inspiring region.
